On June 6, the SQUEAKERS documentary film, about Squeak and education, funded by a grant from Ball State University and the Ely Lilly Foundation, won four Emmy's in Cleveland. Honored for best film in its category were the filmmakers - Jim Shasky and Bonnie MacBird who produced and wrote. Additional Emmy's were awarded to Shasky for directing, Matthew McCauley for his wonderful original score and Lynn Rabren for his inspired cinematography. The 45 minute film was shot in high definition video and featured interviews with Jerome Bruner, Seymour Papert, Quincy Jones, and Alan Kay as well as Kim Rose, BJ Allen Conn, and Cathy Galas and the children of the Open School, Los Angeles.
